Slain woman's sister files wrongful death claim against husband

Connecticut residents may be interested to learn that, on Dec. 19, it was reported that the sister of a woman who was murdered in her home filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the woman's husband. In the lawsuit, the sister alleged that the husband shot the woman in the head two years ago.

How to react in an emergency situation

If a Georgia resident is caught in a situation where hundreds of people are in a panicked frenzy, that person's best option is to remain calm. Doing so may make it possible to think in a logical manner and help keep that person safe. When people are in crowds, such as at a concert, they generally try to find open space in front of them. This is generally done to find air and to avoid running into people.

Young adults have slip-and-fall accidents more often

While people in Georgia may be aware of the risks that are posed to seniors who slip, trip or fall, they might not be aware that younger people are likelier to have these types of accidents. A recent study revealed that more than half of college-age people fall while an estimated 33 percent of older adults do.

Who is liable for injuries after a dog attack?

A dog attack or a bite from any type of animal can be traumatic. If you experienced physical and emotional injuries from a dog bite, you may be feeling overwhelmed, confused and unsure of what you should do next. It is possible that you could have grounds to seek financial compensation, and you may be able to name the dog owner or property owner in a civil claim.

Special event security

Businesses and individuals in Georgia that organize or promote special events have multiple concerns. Depending on the nature of the event, organizers and planners have to find quality venues, coordinate food and beverages, attract entertainment and handle the logistics of managing a crowd. One area of logistics that is often ignored or downplayed is that of security.

Outdoor party risks

Georgia residents should be aware of the various accidents that can occur at outdoor parties, carnivals, and even picnics, especially when they are set up with complex rides and other attractions. In New Jersey, one man attending his wife's company picnic was injured by a device that the company had set up: a Eurobungy bungee-trampoline.
