Woman sues Zac Brown for concert injuries

Georgia-based country musician Zac Brown has been sued by a disabled woman who attended one of his concerts. The woman claims that she suffered injuries in August 2015 while she was watching a Zac Brown Band concert at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts. When fans rushed the stage to shake hands with Brown, the woman was pushed against a metal gate.

The plaintiff in the premises liability case says that she was seated close to the stage in the disabled section when she sustained her injuries. A crowd of other audience members flooded through the disabled section when Brown reached his hand out to them. While the plaintiff was pushed against a metal gate, her armpit was injured when a security person lifted the gate.

According to the plaintiff, the injuries she suffered at the Zac Brown concert have caused her to lose the ability to hold her cane as she used to. Without the use of her cane, the woman is now limited in her walking abilities. The woman is seeking more than $75,000 compensation for orthopedic, muscular and neurological injuries. Her lawsuit names Brown, his representatives and representatives for Live Nation Entertainment as defendants and accuses them of negligence.

A company that puts on a live event like a concert has a duty to keep the premises safe for attendees. A person who is injured at such an event because of a dangerous condition may want to have the assistance of an attorney in seeking compensation through the filing of a premises liability lawsuit.
