Georgia authorities arrest alleged robber

On Behalf of | May 3, 2013 | Premises Liability

Georgia residents may be able to rest a little easier now that two men who were suspected of committing a variety of robberies in three counties have been arrested in Conyers. In addition to other crimes, the two men are suspected of robbing two customers at gunpoint by a Wells Fargo ATM machine, making it a dangerous property for bank customers.

Atlanta Police, Conyers Police and Georgia Pardons and Paroles collaborated to investigate and arrest the two suspects. Identifying the suspect’s vehicle as a stolen vehicle when the robberies occurred helped the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office to identify the suspect. Police arrested the 21-year-old suspect without incident on April 25, 2013 while he was in a stolen vehicle and in the possession of a stolen weapon.

Two of the alleged robberies occurred on the 1200 block of Dogwood Drive in February. Authorities searched the house of the suspects and found more stolen property that was associated with other cases. The police are in the process of pairing the stolen property with the rightful owners. Authorities charged the 21-year-old suspect and another suspect with two aggravated assault and two armed robbery counts.

Sometimes, when people are injured or killed on a residential property or commercial property, they are able to pursue a premises liability claim against the owner of the property. To succeed with a claim of this nature, the victim or the victim’s family must have been injured because of a condition on the property that the landowner knew about or should have known about. An Atlanta premises injury lawyer may be able to conduct an investigation into the landowner’s actual knowledge regarding the dangerous conditions present on a property.
