Brent Kaplan, an Atlanta native, has been a member of the Georgia Bar since 1983. He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Vanderbilt University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, where he served as a member of the Georgia Law Review.
Mr. Kaplan is a trial lawyer and has extensive experience in a wide range of practice areas, including property insurance coverage, measurement and subrogation cases, bad-faith claims, and also disputes under comprehensive general liability policies. Mr. Kaplan has extensive experience in personal injury cases, including wrongful death, product liability and medical negligence. In addition, Mr. Kaplan has litigated numerous commercial cases including class and collective actions and has significant experience litigating restrictive covenants in employment contracts. He has served as both lead trial and appellate counsel in cases throughout the country. He is also a certified mediator.
Mr. Kaplan comes to Isenberg & Hewitt from Robins, Kaplan, Miller, and Ciresi, where he served as managing partner of the firm's Atlanta office.
Mr. Kaplan is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia, the Lawyers Club of Atlanta and Gridiron Secret Society. He is co-author of the chapter "Procedural Points" in the Trial Practice Manual published by the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.
